Heroic OLA [Oromo Liberation Army] fighters have put 64 soldiers out of action in western Oromia.
According to Voice of Oromo Liberation, the western Zone OLA have put 64 soldiers out of action in its attacks against Woyane [Ethiopian] invader forces.
On 16 June 2008, OLA fighters heroically countered Woyane troops who were being backed by aircraft, putting 64 of them out of action, the OLA western zonal commander has disclosed.
The troops were on a mission to attack OLA fighters when they fell into an ambush. Over 16 soldiers were killed and more than 25 others were wounded in the battle that took place in Wangalali Ebicha.
On 18 June 2008, heroic OLA fighters in Gaba, also known as Timbo, attacked Woyane soldiers. OLA western zonal commander said that over eight soldiers were killed and 15 others were wounded in the attack.
OLA fighters captured an assortment of military equipment in the two battles.
