It is hilarious and extremely confusing to read a malignant statement that alleges to be issued by ULFO’s Extraordinary Executive Committee meeting. ULFO has a well articulated constitution and all encompassing internal rules and regulations to conduct its business. Calling and convening meetings of ULFO has strict regulations and standard procedures to be followed. Without adhering and respecting these regulations and procedures any meeting that is convened cannot have legitimacy.
According to the rules and regulations of ULFO, it is only the chairperson or in his absence, the vice chairperson who can call ULFO’s Executive Committee meeting. This standard procedure and regulation has not been followed. I, Dawud Ibsa, Chairperson of ULFO, have not called any extraordinary meeting of the EC of ULFO nor do I have any knowledge of such meeting being conducted. Those who issued this so called extraordinary EC meeting statement must be conspirators who want to spoil the good working relationship between member organizations of ULFO.
Therefore, I, Dawud Ibsa, chairperson of ULFO, announce that the so called Extraordinary Executive committee meeting of ULFO illegal and statement issued on its behalf is null and void. Member Organizations of ULFO, who stick to the Memorandum of understanding signed in 2000, and ratified the ULFO constitution and regulation to keep away from this divisive and anti unity undertakings by few individuals and wait patiently for the legal and proper ULFO Executive Committee Meeting to be called soon.
