April 23, 2006(Oromia) In district of Hara- Mayaa, East Oromia, Oromo local residents and students fought back with all means at their disposals to free more than seven students that have been rounded up by forces of TPLF government. The police forces were overwhelmed by this public reaction and retreated to Xinniqqee town.
During this confrontation between heroic Oromo people and the repressive regime police forces, Billissaa Ahmad, Abdishaaa Luungoo suffered injury from live ammunition of TPLF forces.
It was reported that the public that was furious by police brutal act against Oromo residents and students, demolished the administrative office of the repressive regime.

In district of Malkaa Bal’oo, our people have promised to keep on fighting against the repressive regime and vowed to advance the objective of their martyr’s. Hence, they have celebrated their fallen heroes and heroines with great courage and determinations. Alarmed by growing of these uprising and reaction in this area the TPLF regime imprisoned more than 20 people.

In Asaboot town, west hararghe, Oromia, the military forces of TPLF have left one person dead, Mr. Mohammad Saanii died in the hand of these merciless forces at Mi’eessoo prison cell after he was tortured for several days, source said.
Although TPLF forces were barricaded public from attending Mr. Mohammad Saanii burial ceremony, there was huge public turnout on his burial ceremony. The TPLF that frustrated by public reaction, have seen randomly beating people who were attending this ceremony. Therefore, 10 people have suffered serious injury and left between life and death by brutal action of TPLF forces, sources revealed. However, the uprising of Oromo people in Eastern Oromia is intensifying.

A 3 rd year law student, Diriirsaa Qajeelaa, has dismissed from university, alleged with current Oromo uprising. It was to be rememered that the same student being dismissed from Mekele University.

On April 20, 2006(Oromia): In Gimbii Wollaggaa, West Oromia, the TPLF forces have seized the campus of Gimbi high school. Hence, the Oromo students have refused to go to school until their demand is met and the military forces leaves their campus. The students have also disseminated pamphlets to alert fellow Oromo students and continue their struggle against repressive regime. The students demanded the following:
- We demand the Police forces leave school campus immediately
- We demand the release of fellow Oromo students from prison immediately and unconditionally.
- We demand to stop harassing, intimidating and interrogating Oromo students every day.
- OLF is our true representative.

The uprising of Oromo people in Arsii and Baalee Zone is continuing. It was remembered that we reported the Oromo uprising in Qoree Arsii zone Oromia. As it was mentioned in our previous report, residents and students were held candlelight vigil all night on our martyr’s day.
The frustrated and that doomed to demise regime of TPLF are now engaged in intimidation and harassments of Oromo civilians both in urban and rural areas. According to eye witness, Qoree and surrounding areas have since fallen under military (Agazi) marshal law.
Apart from intimidation and harassment of civilians, the Agazii forces now also embarked on looting local residents’ shops and properties. Accordingly, the following are victims of these robberies committed by Agazi forces in Qoree, Arsii Zone Oromia residents:
- Ayyuub sh/ Kadiir $5000.00 Birr (from his shop)
- Abdellaa Gammadii $6000.00Birr
- Abdii Ganamoo $4000.00 Birr (it was witnessed that robbery to this person committed by member of OPDO, the TPLF surrogate).
Residents have came together and put up counter attack to stop looting of Sh/ Ahmad Haajii’s shop by lawless Agazi forces of TPLF regime. There is a curfew that is imposed and no one is allowed to go out of his or her home after 8:00PM (local time). In similar news, in Gadab Asaasaa, active imprisonment of Oromo people is continuing.

In district of Kofalee, Arsii Zone, Oromia, the Agazi forces (the death squad) are going from home to home of both urban and rural Oromo residents intimidating and harassing the people in order to counter the uprising of the Oromo people in the area.
A member of the parliament (MP), an elected official from district of Kofalee Mr Abbaabbuu Abdoo was detained by Agazii forces while he was on family visit and savagely beaten. According to eyewitness, Mr. Abbaabbuu was attacked brutally by Agazi forces and passed out on scene. His condition is unknown until this report was obtained.
In similar occurrences, a candidate from this district (Kofalee) for Caffee Oromia and won election, Mr. Abdellaa Amaan and member of his organization were both detained by Agazi and suffering in the hands of these merciless forces.
After high school students in Kofalee refused to respect and sing the so called “Oromia national anthem”, the Agazi forces are now going from class to class beating Oromo students.

In district of Qarsaa, Oromia, the Oromo nationalists have gathered together on our martyr’s day and have discussed the objective of our fallen heroes and heroines and their commitments to OLF. Hence, these participants specially forewarn the Harargehe Zone, administrative and employee of this office; Mr. Abdulrazaaqii and Mr Ahimmaddin Umar respectively to stop arresting the Oromo students that have voiced and raised their concerns in peaceful ways.
