Oromo uprising against tyranny

April 21, 2006 (Oromia): On April 19, 2006, the TPLF surrogate organization; OPDO called a conference in Dodolaa District, Arsii Zone and surroundings that include Oromo residents from Carcar, Qacamaa, Tulluu and Bariisaa. Even though the surrogates tried their best to hold this conference with the aim to rally residents behind their political agenda, the people refused to be their pray and the conference have failed miserably.

The Oromo people uprising spread like wild fire across Oromia. In district of Gedab Asaasaa, Arsii zone, local Oromo residents and students were jointly remembered their fallen heroes and heroines on April 15, 2006. On this occasion Oromo students disseminated pamphlets that call upon members of OPDO to join their fellow Oromo in uprising against the tyrant regime.

The TPLF and its agent shocked by this action of our people embarked on a new wave of imprisonment. Until this report was obtained, 60 students have been detained in Gadab Asaasaa. The following are the list of some of the students name have reached us and languishing in TPLF prison cell:

In similar news, in district of Qoree, Arsii Zone, Oromia, on April 14, 2006 local Oromo residents and students were jointly remembered Oromo martyr’s day from 7:00 pm local time through the night. They have held candlelight vigil and were chanting their fallen heroes and heroines name.

The TPLF and its agents that have caught in surprise by these swept actions of the Oromo people in surrounding districts, indiscriminately imprisoning residents in an attempt to curve the uprising.

According to our latest news from district of Adaabbaa, Arsii zone, Oromia, the ruthless TPLF agents have detained prominent Oromo and nationalist Addunyee Gabruu, alleging him with organizing the uprising against tyranny in the area and surroundings. It was also reported that another prominent Oromo and elder, H/ Waayyuu Weebanoo have suffered in the hands of TPLF agents in Dodolaa prison cell.

In Jima Zone, Western Oromia, residents in Jima and surroundings have remembered our martyr’s day. The remembrance of martyr’s day is for all Oromo sons and daughters that have fallen in the past, recent and still to fall for the very objective our heroes and heroines have fallen for. The resident vowed that the sacrifices will go on till the lost dignity and liberty, and our God given natural right will be restored.

The Oromo people in Jima City and surroundings that includes; Qarsaa, Mannaa, Saqqaa, Coqorsaa and Xiroo Afataatii remembered their martyr’s day with great courage and determinations.

Our compatriots students and teachers in Jimmaa University were remembered their fallen heroes and heroines in different forms;

Students and teachers have also shaved their head (to let the fellow Oromo and world know that they have deeply touched by our heroes and heroines actions giving their life in the line for our cause) and also dressed with out fit of OLF flags (to let the TPLF regime know that it’s OLF that their true representative and vanguard not the other way around the TPLF/their surrogate, OPDO)

Oromo students and teachers held candlelight vigil colored with red, green and red candles and marched in Jima city. They vowed to continue their fight and rally behind OLF. They have also passed six points resolutions with highlight and demand the right of the Oromo people of the self-determination.
