April 17, 2006 (Oromia) - The TPLF military and police forces were flooded the city of Ambo, West Shewa Zone, Oromia on April 17, 2006 after a bomb exploded in Carii elementary school. Residents of the town accused TPLF government culprit for planting the bomb just before attacking the Oromo student demonstrating against tyranny of the Ethiopian government.
According to the eye witness, the explosive that were exploded in Carii elementary school, injured many students and there were no reported number of dead students. Eye witness also confirmed that the TPLF forces attacking the Oromo residents with the gun bat and live ammunition.
The lists of students injured known until this report was obtained are the following:
1. Tasfaayee Fiixee
2. Skur Cimdii
3. Leensaa hayiluu (repeatedly beaten by security forces)
4. Fidaa (was sustained injury from live ammunition of TPLF forces)
Students that have suffered injury are now under medical care in Ambo Hospital, source said.
