Ambassador Hanfare Alimirah defected

September 11, 2006 (EMF) - Son of the renowned Afar spiritual leader Sultan Alimirah, Ambassador Hanfare Alimirah has defect to America making the total number of defectees to Sixty-three, Sources said. Ambassador Hanfare Alimirah was a Charge D'Affaires; Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary in Kuwait. Another diplomat, Mesfin Mideksa, first Secretary in Brussels has reportedly been in Maryland, USA meeting with lawyers to facilitate his asylums.

Dr. Biruk Hailu, Plenipotentiary and Ato Gizachew Bizuayehu, Counselor in Paris have been reportedly left the regime for political asylums in the USA. According to our sources from India, another diplomat, Eyerusalem Bekele, secretary in India has also defected Meles Zenawi's brutal regime.

Sixty-two diplomats and staff members from various Ethiopian Embassies and Consular Offices left their job over the last three months. The total number of diplomats who left the regime after the May 2005 election is more than twice than the number in this list, which is believed to constitute nearly 75% of the diplomatic staff.

Two commission members, who were assigned by Meles Zenawii's Inquiry Commission to investigate the massacres against demonstrators in June and November 2005, have reportedly left for Germany with all documents which expose the regime itself of using excessive force against civilians.
